Project Description Project Schedule
J.G. Beacham Water Filter Plant Upgrade Increasing capacity from 28 mgd to 36 mgd and improving operational efficiency Completion Date: Early 2008
Cedar Creek Water Reclamation Facility Replacement Replacement of aging 2 mgd plant with new 4 mgd plant, including higher treatment level and odor control technology Construction Period: Begin in mid-year 2008
North Oconee Water Reclamation Facility Replacement Replacement of aging 9.7 mgd plant with new 14 mgd plant, including higher treatment level and odor control technology Construction Period: Begin early 2008
Middle Oconee Water Reclamation Facility Upgrade Upgrade and expansion from 6 mgd to 10 mgd Construction Period: Begin spring 2008
Upper North Oconee Interceptor Projects 1A and 2 Repairing aging pipelines and increasing the capacity of the existing interceptor that carries wastewater flows to the North Oconee Water Reclamation Facility. Also extending pipeline to provide additional sewer service Construction Period: Begin fall 2007
Trail Creek Interceptor Projects 1 and 2 Increasing the capacity of the existing sewer interceptors and adding new pipelines to provide additional sewer service Expect to begin construction winter 2007
Elevated Water Storage Tanks Adding one new elevated water storage tank next to the existing tank on John Collier Rd. and one new tank next to the existing tank on Harve Mathis Rd. Construction Period: Expected to be completed by early 2008
Shoals Creek/Whit Davis Pump Station, Force Main and Interceptor Upgrading the existing pump station, force main and interceptor to provide sewer service to the upper Shoals Creek area Expect to begin construction spring 2008
Upper North Oconee Interceptor Project 1B Rehabilitation of aging sewer lines using trenchless technology that installs a new "pipe within a pipe" lining Expect to begin construction November 2006
